Business Ready Pricing is Going To Include CRM!

OK all you Dynamics SL customers - you are going to be seeing a major change in the way you can purchase CRM for your organization. The CRM software licenses will be offered from the same pricelist as your Solomon licenses. (With the current purchasing process, you or your Microsoft business partner has to place the order through a third party vendor under a purchase program that is separate from the rest of the Dynamics product line.) This is good news because MSFT is taking the complexity out of ordering the software. The jury is out on the actual pricing though - if it is going to be more or less per CRM user. They also have not shown us how they are going to calculate it.  It is definitely steps in the right direction, as this is moving us to a single product license.
It will be interesting to see how the customers react as it makes it seem like it is one system, when it is not actually. It is still going to require Infuse in the case of CRM and Solomon.

From Ben Volmer's Blog: Link

"Beginning December 4, 2006, Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM will be available from the Microsoft Dynamics Price Lists. This includes both Business Ready Licensing (BRL) and Modular Based Licensing and will affect partners that sell licenses of Microsoft Dynamics AX, GP, NAV and SL.
This change will simplify the process of ordering Microsoft CRM along with other Microsoft Dynamics products from a single Microsoft Dynamics business partner, and give customers more options for how they deploy roles-based Microsoft Dynamics within their organizations."
