Virtual PC Multi Monitor

As I mentioned in a previous post, Virtual PC is something I use every day.   I would like to give a shout out to Microsoft Virutal PC team for a job well done on the New edition of their app.

One of the most annoying "features" of the last version was the inability to be able to run Virtual PC full screen on one monitor and then click on the other monitor where you might have e-mail or something else running.  In the 2004 version it would minimumize the app completely.  Which seems like no big deal, but then is takes minutes to come back to life.

Also, it remembered that you were running on the other monitor.  So if you unhooked the monitor and took your laptop out to a demo, the control panel would launch on the now missing monitor. Which basically made it so you couldn't use it unless you remembered to close it out, launch again, run the program, then close it again. Only after doing all that will it remember where it is supposed to launch.

Oh by the way...  there is a great blog out there from the product manager for Virtual PC.   Ben Armstrong  He has a lot of cool tips.   Check it out.
