Ok CRM'ers—it is time to step up to the collective community plate. EHTC has been running User Groups for our customers for many years. We have both a Solomon User Group and a Great Plains user group.  They meet quarterly and are very well attended by our local customer base. However, with CRM I have had a dilemma. My dilemma in setting up the CRM user group for EHTC was that many of our CRM customers are in other parts of the country, so a local meeting was not going to work. We decided to join the CRMUG from Dynamics Community to help provide ongoing support and information to our customers. We are also encouraging our customers to join the group.

I think that Microsoft is going to look at the CRMUG as an important resource for Product Development feedback and thought leadership in regards to influencing product direction, features, and functions. CRMUG is independent of Microsoft. It was formed by users for the benefit of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM product users. It was developed hand-in-hand with Microsoft to ensure that their entire organization is aware of and approves of our mission, supports our programs, and promotes our capabilities.

They are now positioned in such a way that Microsoft turned to CRMUG to provide content during Convergence.  I will be working with CRMUG to help provide some content on Tuesday.

Microsoft relies heavily on the CRMUG for Sales and Product Development purposes. The User Group has as its members the most influential and successful Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers and partners. Microsoft sees CRMUG as an extension of their sales and marketing efforts. Microsoft highlights the value of the independent CRMUG to their prospective customers. Additionally, Microsoft leverages CRMUG for organized, unbiased feedback and enjoys efficient information collection during their product development efforts.

I will also be at the CRM General Meeting on Tuesday 10:30 am - 11:45 am, and at the CRMUG booth on Thursday from 11:00 am to 1 pm.
